These vessels are equipped with powerful pumps and hoses capable of drawing water directly from the surrounding body of water to fight fires effectively, providing a unique and where terrestrial access may be challenging.
The Marine Unit enforces laws and regulations related to waterway use within forested areas, including boating regulations, fishing limits, and protected area restrictions. They conduct regular patrols to deter illegal activities, ensuring that waterways are used sustainably and in according with conservation goals.
Similar to the Aviation Unit, the Marine Unit participates in Search and Rescue missions for individuals lost or in distress in waterways within or adjacent to forested regions. This can include rescuing swimmers, boaters, and other recreational users of forest lakes and rivers, utilizing boats and divers for swift water rescue operations.
